Stereotypes
posted by Ben

"...stereotypes are basically an imagined reality, and if we want to perpetuate the stereotypes about ourselves, it's representing only one segment of the community."
Says Honey Labrador, star of Queer Eye for the Straight Girl.

Seems to me that her statement breaks down as:
1) Stereotypes don't represent reality.

2) If we perpetuate a stereotype, we don't represent our whole community, just a part of it. Presumably the imaginary one.

3) But it's all cool, right?
That's why I prefer stereoscopic images to stereotypes. Because the former has three dimensions.

Speaking of which, aren't all Republicans just so totally evil?
